Route 11 & 40 Detour: Sistrunk Historical Festival and Parade
Effective February 25, 2012 from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The parade will begin at 7:30 am from New Mount Olive Baptist Church traveling north on NW 9th Avenue, heading west down the Sistrunk corridor, and turning off at NW 19th Avenue to end around 11:00 am.  After the parade ends, the closed streets will be open to through traffic up to NW 24th Avenue.
The street festival will occupy the space between NW 24th Avenue and NW 31st Avenue. The streets will be closed to through traffic at 5:30 am and will not reopen until approximately 10:00 pm.  The Routes 11 and 40 will detour as follows:
PARADE DETOUR
Route 11
Bus will travel north on NW 7 Ave. to Sunrise Blvd.; west on Sunrise Blvd. to NW 24 Ave.;
south on NW 24 Ave. to NW 22 Ave.; south on NW 22 Ave. to NW 6 Ct.; east on NW 6 Ct. to NW 22 Road; north on NW 22 Road and over the regular route.

Route 40
Bus will travel north on NW 7 Ave. to Sunrise Blvd.; west on Sunrise Blvd. to NW 24 Ave.; south on NW 24 Ave. to Sistrunk Blvd.; west on Sistrunk Blvd. to NW 27 Ave.; south on NW 27 Ave. to Broward Blvd.; west on Broward Blvd. to NW 31 Ave.; north on NW 31 Ave. and over the regular route.

Route 11

Route 11 will travel the regular route after the parade is over.

Route 40 Eastbound
Bus will travel south on NW 31 Ave. to NW 7 St.; east on NW 7 St. to NW 27 Ave.; north on NW 27 Ave to NW 8 Ct.; South on NW 8 Ct. to NW 8 St.; east on NW 8 St. to NW 22 Ave.;  south on NW 22 Ave. to Sistrunk Blvd.; east on Sistrunk Blvd.  and over the regular route.
Route 40 Westbound
Bus will travel west on Sistrunk Blvd. to NW 22 Rd; north on NW 22 Rd. to NW 8 St.; west on NW 8 St. to NW 8 Ct.; north on NW 8 Ct. to NW 27 Ave.; south on NW 27 Ave. to NW 7 St.; west on NW 7 St. to MLK Jr. Blvd. (NW 31 Ave.); north on MLK Jr.  Blvd. and over the regular route.


Until Further Notice: Bus Bay Revisions at Lauderhill Mall Transfer Facility and Golden Glades Park and Ride
To accommodate the larger, articulated buses added to Route 18 effective on Sunday, January 8, 2012, there will be bus bay revisions at the Lauderhill Mall Transfer Facility and at the Golden Glades Park and Ride for Routes 18, 36, 441 Breeze and University Breeze as follows:

Lauderhill Mall:

  • Route 18 North will swap bays with Route 36 East
  • Route 18 South will swap bays with Route 36 West

 Golden Glades:

  • Route 18 will swap bus stops with the University Breeze and the 441 Breeze
  • Both Breeze routes will occupy the first bay
  • Route 18 will stop on the perimeter road facing Tri-Rail.

  

Margate Community Bus Service (Margate Inner City Transit) Revisions Effective August 17, 2011
Route B and Saturday service on the Routes A, C and D have been eliminated starting on Wednesday, August 17, 2011.
Weekday schedule hours are revised as follows: Route A – 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Route C – from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Route D – from 7:20 a.m. to 4:20 p.m.  The one-way fare is $.75 and exact change is required.

Route 20 Detour
Until further notice.

NE 3 Ave. is closed between Sample Road and NE 30 Court due to construction until further notice. Route 20 will detour as follows:

The bus will travel south on NE 3 Ave. to Sample Road; east on Sample Road to Dixie Highway; south on Dixie Highway to NE 33 St.; west on NE 33 St. to NE 3 Ave.; south on NE 3 Ave. and continue over the regular route.

Northbound:
Buses will follow the reverse route.

 

 


Route 9 Detour
Effective September 7, 2010 until further notice.

Westbound:

  • West on Johnson St. to North 35 Ave.
  • North on North 35 Ave. to Taft St.
  • West on Taft St. to North 40 St. (roundabout)
  • South on North 40 St. to Johnson St.
  • West on Johnston St. and over the regular route

Eastbound:

The bus will follow the reverse route.
