Effective January 1, 2011, all new and renewing vendors will be required to pay a $100 vendor fee with the submittal of their new permit application, updated criminal background screening affidavit, certificate of insurance, and Broward County local business tax receipt. Please make checks payable to Broward County Parks and Recreation.
If a park shelter or party is planned at a park, patrons may choose their own caterers and vendors as long as the vendors have completed the application process and paid the vendor fee to become an approved vendor.
"Approved vendor" means a business has provided an application, a current certificate of insurance, and a Broward tax receipt; paid a fee; and completed a criminal background affidavit (see below). "Approved" does not mean that we recommend one vendor over another. If you have a caterer or business that is preferred, and they are not on the approved list, have them contact our Parks Safety Section (see contact information below).
