Now accepting registration for the park's free After-School Program, for ages 6 to 17!

Modular Rental Hall: Available for rental by advance reservation in person at the park office. Accommodates 50 to 60 banquet-style (with tables) or 90 theater-style (without tables). The space is 30 feet by 32 feet, or 960 square feet, with a nine-foot ceiling. Choice of 10 six-foot round tables or 10 six-foot rectangular tables, or a combination of the two. One hundred folding chairs are also available. The fee is $150 for four hours, with additional hours available at $40 each. A security deposit of $125 is due the day of the event and will be refunded immediately after the event provided the hall is clean to the satisfaction of the manager or designee. Athletic Fields: Five baseball/softball fields and a football/soccer field. The Southside Little League has long been associated with the park.

Basketball: Full-court and half-court facilities.

Picnic Tables: Available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Playground

Programming: The park offers the Division's free After-School and Summer Recreation programs for ages 6 to 17. There are also dog obedience classes at the park.

A Little History: This 20.8-acre site, which is only eight feet above sea level at its lowest point, was originally commonly known as Big Hole Park and the Rock Pit. The park became a center of athletic and recreational activity after the Broward County Commission leased it in 1963 to the Southwest Athletic Association, a nonprofit volunteer group. The park took its current name from its Sun-View Recreation Building, which was named for the two Little League groups that used the park, Sunset Little League and Broadview Park Little League. The original structure was destroyed by a fire in 2010 and replaced with the current modular building.
