
A team of Broward County employees has created a replacement
application to support the Vulnerable Population Registry. The
application, developed by Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) and
Human Services with assistance from Public Communications,
Environmental Protection and Growth Management, and Emergency
Management, replaces an outside vendor application and saves the
County the cost for annual licensing, technical support, maintenance
and system upgrades that would have been paid to the outside vendor.

Did you know that 12 percent of Floridians (7 percent of children)
live below the poverty level, or that there is a correlation between
income, education and obesity among our residents? Florida adults
with low incomes and the least education have the highest prevalence
of obesity – 26.5 percent for those earning less than $25,000 a
year, and 30.7 percent for those with less than a high school
